Faith To Draw Near

Faith is like the eagle's wing - it causes you to rise up to the holy places. Faith is the vessel that causes you to enter into the high altitude realms of the Spirit. To soar above all the storms of life, above the noise, the confusion, soar high above the turmoil and the dark clouds that would try to overshadow so many. The unseen hands of faith will lift and support you when you see nothing in the natural that can stop you from falling.

Peter was suspended above the deep by the unseen hands of faith. Faith caused him to close the impossible, impassable gap between himself and Jesus. As soon as he stopped resting on the wings of faith, and became distracted by the storm below. He began to sink. He began to be pulled out of the place where nothing could touch him, to the place where he was in the storm.

Thankfully as a prophetic statement, Jesus Himself closed the gap between man and God, reached out his hand and rescued Peter. That is what the grace of God is. None of the other disciples received this hand of Grace for none others stepped out in faith as did Peter and He was to become the leader.

Jesus calmed the storm. For what storm may rage in the presence of the Prince of Peace? But even the Prince of Peace was working the unseen power of faith. He is the author and finisher of our faith.
